Looking around the Cardinal classroom this morning, it was amazing to see how far we have come over the course of one school year. The children were moving through the morning routine with ease and confidence, and getting right into areas to work.

The magnet tile rug was a spot for more individualized work today, with several structures getting attention from one child at a time focusing all their energies on one small area. The art studio featured several artists and the block area featured several busy builders who had rebuilt a rocket ship similar to one they have been working on all week in order to find new, even more daring ways to continue it's vertical lengthening.

Early in our morning, we paused our work to head to the auditorium for the Lower School assembly! The children were thrilled to see several student performances and presentations, some of which were by older siblings of Cardinals.

Heading back to the classroom, a group worked on a birthday card for our favorite Debbie Green! Utilizing natural materials as well as the favorite: glitter.

We surprised Debbie when she came into our class and with love, the children presented the gorgeous card they had created.

After such a long, wonderful morning indoors, we headed outside to the Lower School playground to explore the larger play structures.
