Art Show!

Friday June 7th, 2013

This morning the children came in excited about their afternoon performance, and sharing in the art walk with all their families and friends! The creativity of all of the children in finding blue accessories to accent their black outfits was wonderful to see.

We had an exciting snack this morning when we looked into our garden and saw how beautiful our lettuce plants looked, and we decided it was time to enjoy the fruits of our labors. We carefully clipped our lettuce leaves and brought the harvest inside.

Everyone took a taste of our fresh leaves and either dipped them in salad dressing, or ate them plain, enjoying their crisp crunch.

After munching on our lettuce snack for a while, the children decided they would like to share this delicious treat they had grown with some of our other friends in the school.
A group of Cardinals took the lettuce and salad dressing out to find some other friends who might enjoy a taste!

After snack, the children enjoyed a productive choice time in all the different areas of the classroom.

Soon we were called by Jason to come to the auditorium for a quick rehearsal, and then we returned to our classroom for lunch, and a short rest time during which the children were able to rest their bodies on their sleeping mats while listening to several chapters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Soon it was time to walk down and take our places on stage! It was a very exciting day for the Cardinal class on this Art Show friday!
