The feeling of Spring filled our classroom this morning as the children arrived in short sleeves, Spring jackets and moving with an extra skip in their walk! After a short early morning Choice time, we gathered on the rug for Morning Meeting and had our official 'job chart change' and got organized for our week at school! The children love the responsibility of having a 'job' in our classroom and take their roles quite seriously. Our job chart had helped to develop and build a true sense of community in our Cardinal world and has empowered the children to take owner and initiative in our classroom.

Library this morning with Gwen featured a story called The Grannyman about an old Siamese cat and his family who loves him. Several of the children related to the story, having pets at home of their own. After the story, Gwen let us wander the library to find books that interested us to sit with and read for a little while before heading back into our Cardinal classroom.
