Our first day of school was glorious! The children were excited to begin school and become involved with each other and the materials in the classroom as soon as they arrived! Our Art Studio was busy with children working with collage materials, creating 3 dimensional art, drawing with thin and thick markers, and molding playdough. Several children were interested in cutting and helped to cut straws to use in our collage area and practiced cutting paper as well.
The Dramatic Play Area was also a very popular spot this morning as the children became more relaxed and comfortable with each other and their new classroom. Dress-ups were lots of fun. Pretend cooking and setting up meals together was a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience their imaginations together and connect with one another.
Our outdoor classroom is AMAZING!!! The joy showed on the faces of each and every Cardinal as they discovered new parts and sections of our wonderful space.
We are so excited to begin our year together and see where the minds of our children take us!
